Yesterday, 10th December was a special day for Andrew and I ... Andrew made a presentation on "Introducing and Strengthening Human Rights within Post-Conflict Peace-Building Processes." I did a powerpoint presentation on our activities for WSIS National Youth Campaigns in Sierra Leone. It was a memorable moment indeed... the place was packed with young people from various countries to hear about the different actions around the globe.
I had the opportunity to showcase our radio and interactive forum activities. The responses we got were so encouraging and these kind of encoragements will help us continue with further activities in high spirits.
I also spoke about our future plans which among other things is to facilitate the establishement of community ICT centres in at least five of our twelve districts in Sierra Leone by the year 2005.
It's been a pleasure for us to be included in our government delegation for this year's summit! And I must say that Prof. Septimus Kaikai who is our country's Information and Broadcasting Minister has been very supportive of our efforts towards this historic summit. We hope to continue collaboration with the government for future actions...
